As educators we must learn how to incorporate traditional ways of teaching into our classrooms. By using oral stories to teach students about seasons for example, incorporates FNMI into science nicely. I will provide links to oral stories that can be easily used in the classroom to supplement the program of studies. It is also a great idea to have the FNMI students bring in an oral tradtition or story that is significant to their family and use it to instill cultural pride and celebrate his or her culture.
